Our podcast is directed at a very specific demographic. We have been using social networking sites to promote our stuff but out of 30 people, we might get 1 listener. And that listener might not stick around.

So what I did was find a community of people online who ARE our demographic, and join their community. Then just make yourself known, participate in conversations, build friendships, and then mention that you do a podcast. I managed to get plugged on the front page of the community site!

Our listeners have increased greatly and now we are hitting our highest numbers of listeners yet.
